Finding Success

A poem I'm doing for the talent show...

Success is a passage

Faliure an option

We can go either way

or we can go both

Failure is Success

If we learn from it

You can't succeed, unless you've failed a few times

But when you fail and continue to fail

Success is a dream away

The key to failure is trying to please everyone

Trying to fit in, somewhere you don't belong

The key to success, has yet to be defined,

Can I define it, I wouldn't know

I fell to many times

To even see past that bend in the road

Success is a path that isn't paved

It's like trying drive straight on a road made of nails

Sometimes we have to crash and burn

Before our lesson is really learned

From an Advanced honor student

To two suspesions

To a student just barely making it

Success is distant for me

I closed my eyes and opened them

I realized I missed the exit

I've failed myself by not being myself

I lost success and found failure instead

But failure is only a road block

Success is a path less taken

Following the few footsteps of those who've taken it

I'm the next one

Down the road of Success

Leaving my footprint for those to follow

Cuz you can only fail yourself so many times

Before you realize failures an option

Success is a passage

You  choose to fail

But you strive to succeed
