BURN A FIRE WITHIN YOURSELF


Pickup all those little sticks
the ones humans call manners, principles, qualities or goodness.
Pick them up one by one
Humanity, empathy, kindness, all of them
slow and steady with lots of patience as well.

Arrange them neatly, One on another
like a little mountain.
Place it all carefully within yourself
so no cycles of the world ,
can disrupt the heights of the flame.

Take your time my friend,
Age is only a number,
Peace and luck they bring along,
so don't worry at all.

Now open the Matchbox very carefully
and choose a stick wisely.
One wrong stick,
or a wrong flick
The entire system can crumble,
before your eyes
In a tick.

Start now love, draw it closer
Keep it at the centre of that little hill.
You will soon see the smoke,
And very soon the flame.

Let the flame burn within yourself,
call it whatever you are feel
social responsibility, morality,
whatever you feel ...

Let nothing take it down,
May it break down all walls,
This flame will help you jump up
from the couch, chair or even a car seat.
whenever you hear newses of
misery, disgrace, inequality or
divisions on the basis of gender, colour,caste or creed.

May this fire be wild and
May it never be tamed.
especially when you see or hear
those men with no hearts or brains
who enjoy killing others
even with their knees.
