The Longing

The Longing

A Poem by Neelalien
"

The eternal wait to see the person you can never see in your life again...

"

The lingering red rays are biding adieu to the land.

And the shower begins like never before.
On a street,
Which glitters in the rain,
With blurred light spots at the back.
Where gloomy words stroll down through the lane,
Creating a breeze of melancholia.

Where every teardrop tells a story,
Making the glass windows get wet.
Where two roads started drifting apart…
Near that shadowy corner,
Where insomniac eyes seek repose,
Where memories shine and twinkle
Where I hear the silence of my solitude.

And years ago,

Where I took a turn, moved on!
Where I watched myself burn,

Where once the light spots appeared blur,
There,
The fragments of my heart long for her,
Still long for her...
