Male chauvinism

Boy said-

You are beautiful like a bird,

Girl said-

I like your similies; comparisons.

I don't sense Male Chauvinism in this though. I believe Boys and Girls are like this. If anything, I think it portrays the way they think as children. It shows the Girl's greater perception of life as compared to a more simplistic perception of a Boy. He views her as a Bird. She views him as the Sky. Makes sense to me.

My title would be: 'From a Child's Point of View' or something like that.

Sometimes we try to complicate simple things. But we're writers; we can do that.

I think it's because of how he's complimenting only her looks, as if that's all she's worth, or something like that. I'm not sure though, it's a bit of a stretch to me... ~em
