I think I am getting it..but not certain....does the dew symbolize death,(dew departs so quickly under the sun) the leaf symbolizes life.....and the dying one prays for the living one as they are departing, knowing how difficult it will be for the one remaining without the covering and nurturing of the other? Or am I in left field here..well, whether or not that is what you meant, I think it would fit.

I struggled with this. Here's what I got: a.) when something essential is gone then we are concerned with what depends upon the essential something. b.) by analogy, when a person says goodbye and they are concerned with those being said goodbye to ...

... and then it sort of falls apart at the end. What did you mean?
