A Story by Dupur Mitra

Two students of Philosophy department are discussing.

: I don’t understand why people want to live for thousand years. Man already live in thousand yrs.
: What? How many poets, scientists, philosophers are doing hard works for living thousand yrs. But you say, man are living already in thousand yrs!

: Yes Man do not live only in thousand yrs, also in million yrs.
: What do you mean? How?

: See, when you will be married, you have a child.
: Yes.

: Then you will live in the baby’s body.
: Yes.

: That’s way you will live also in the baby’s baby body. That’s way generation after generation, you will live. I don’t understand why poet, scientists, philosophers are doing hard work for living thousand yrs.

Immortality through ancestry is far more selfless than immortality through fame. Excellent thoughts. Very good.
