I'm happy as a medowlark.

That night you called me

Just to tell me how nice I looked

My heart started to shake

With such happiness I had never felt

 

Almost before I was able to respond

You said you had to go

The only reason you called

Was to hear my voice, just once more

 

The days that followed

Were of smiling and blushing

While thinking of you

Which is all I did

 

Everyday I wake up hoping

Hoping that I will get to see you

Or at least talk to you

That's all I want to do

 

I don't care about anything anymore

All I can think about is you

And I know you think of me

Because you have told me so

 

I can't get you out of my thoughts

With your heart of gold

Eyes as blue as the skies

And smile as wide and bright as the sun

 

I want to be with you forever

I can't wait to see

What the future holds

For you and me
