... I loved the rain!

 

I sat in my room,

And watched the sky pour outside.

I remember when you were here,

And last year,

I jumped with you in the rain.

We splashed and sang, it was insane.

 

And with our play you wrapped me,

Close to your heart to kiss me.

I closed my eyes and the sea was still,

The sky was blue and I could feel,

From a distant snow mountain’s feet

The birds singing to your heartbeat.

 

When I opened my eyes

You smiled at me,

And with the pouring rain I could see,

You are the only reason I loved the rain.

 

The first shower and I would wait,

Hoping, like every year, for our date.

Those rainy days that we spend together

With lasing memories forever.

 

But the wondrous rain had to crush my heart

Just like it had done to your craft.

I never got a chance to see you last

To hug you and tell you,

There is not a day I don’t miss you.

 

You left before the first shower,

I will miss your kisses and those flowers.

So come back to take away all this pain,

Because you know,

You were the only reason I loved the rain.

 

Now I sit in my room and close my eyes,

Just to open and see your smile.

But I won’t let the rain in,

Till it brings you back to me.
