All She Needs

All She Needs

A poem about moning on

"

All She Needs

The tears finally dried

Leaving her face empty of any emotion.

X

She decided the time for crying was done

It was time to move on

X

She swore he was her everything

That he would hold her to the end

X

Well she’d lied to herself

And now she knew it

X

He was her nothing

He just tied her down

X

He made her change

She wasn’t who she was

X

This wasn’t her

It was who he wanted her to be

X

And that wasn’t right

She didn’t deserve that

X

And when she told him this

He said he didn’t care

X

That it wasn’t up to her

And that’s when she saw him for he really was

X

He wasn’t worth her pain

Or her tears

X

He wasn’t worth anything

Not the love she felt for him

X

Not the pain she felt with him

Not the time she dedicated to him

X

He was nothing

She was everything

X

She had thought about their end many times

Wondering if it was the right thing to do

X

But the more she thought

The more she knew she was right

X

And that’s what stopped the tears

And the sobs

X

Because he wasn’t worth crying over

He wasn’t worth her sadness

X

She was better off now

Being with the people who truly loved her

X

She could hold her head up high

Because she didn’t care what he thought of her

X

She was her own person

Not his

X

Not anyone else’s

Just herself

X

And that

That’s all she needs
