Ghost

This is something that I thought of for a while and when I put pen to paper it just came out.

That was it
That was all
X
It was officially over
no more time to talk
X
Was it for the better?
No one knows.

Was it for the worse?
still up for question.

As he walked away,
the tears were shed.
X
The longing glances looking back
watching as the remaining hope burned away
X
A breath of fresh air
it was time for the new.
X
We were finally out
because that's what we wanted, right?
X
Though questions remained
and a hurt stayed as well
X
Time heals everything
Even though that everything is a ghost
