For the Shadowed

For the Shadowed

A Poem by scarlynn
"

an original.

"

outside impressions conceal what lies in

solitude appeals, but impresses

a way to escape life and its messes

sadness will cave, sanity driving thin

attempts to collect yourself; to begin

last thing wanted- to throw the confesses

narcism, lies- never addresses

though whilst the terror, the world would still spin

taking belongings, and leaving you not

secretly falling; spiraling under

of books and their covers, all seems as true

wanting to speak but regretting the thought

anxiety rolling across; thunder

guilt, love, tears,calm,faint- is simply pushed through.

Cynthia ~ This is a nice little write. It's an easy read and rolls off the tongue with ease in your rhymes and short phrases. I like poems like this. Sometimes I think they should be read quick and with little breath. Until the end and you can take a big fat sigh. This piece is like that for me. I really enjoyed it. :)

Introspective, yet it speaks for many and to many. A well-crated creation, dear poet.
