Green Eyes

Green Eyes

A Poem by scarlynn

Not quite blue,
not quite green-
but somewhere glassy,
foamy,
and in-between.

Nicotine dream
believing your secret
passwords, love letters,
I'm keeping up in
benzodiazepines.

I am the lucky one,
misfortune waning to
nothing in someplace
I'll never see,
but we're both here now.

I loved the subject and focus of this, takes the reader into a sweet personal place. The last stanza seemed to loss the rhythm though.

Keep going scarlynn, you have the depth, now sharpen your skill.
