"And ya know, even though you're not in the wrong, you'll still get charged for it," a speck of rice flew from her pencil line lip onto her sunspotted veined wrist. "You're associated, ya know. Guilty by association." I kept looking at the TV above her head. I had to tell Blake I couldn't go on a date with him.
"Yep. That's what happens," I looked over at the table next to us, a pair of stupid blue eyes wandering my body and smiling at me.
Suddenly, I needed to cry.
"Hey, I think I'm going to the restroom real quick. I'll be back in a minute."
I rose out of my red cushioned grave and straight past the "ma'am, can I help you?" and into the big stall where my eyes became faucets.
