A Heart at Eleven

A Heart at Eleven

A Poem by scarlynn

An eye of the sidewalk is
Watching me, watching paired mirrors.
The stupid, repetitive plane of
Silver upon silver upon silver
Reflects a mind's trappings
Rendered useless in your blue sky.
Dark moon hangs under starless ceiling,
Waiting in stale black air
While I watch from every cracked and creaking window,
Not daring to breathe in this
Abyssal, smiling toxicity.
