Cautionary Tale

Cautionary Tale

A Poem by Kristina Moulaison
"

I'm just sayin'

"

If I had my youth to live over again

I would make all the same mistakes

but with more exuberance and

none of the guilt.

What a waste civility seems now.

I love this piece. Many would rather go back in time to "correct" their so-called mistakes and slip ups, not knowing that these "mistakes" were the agents that made their lives fuller and richer in some way or another.

This piece is an absolute gem of a poem. The language you used is so simple and clear, the message succinct, not a wasted word in here. You captured the feeling behind these words so perfectly - bravo! Do keep writing. :)

This poem tell the truth. I agree with your words. The good moment I would hold tighter and made them last longer. Age teaches us to cherish the gift of love and laughter. Thank you for the excellent poem.
