Perfection's Ugly StepsisterA Poem by Kristina MoulaisonI cannot help but curl my lips in disgust, flinching at my own keen perceptions and impeccable ability to recollect. Failure comes ready with palpable visual aids lest I dare set them down, tip toe away and attempt a well timed extraction.
Crumpled balls of paper do not rest tidy in proper bins, but pop out and lay themselves flat and pristine across inner eyelids as top billed, self awarded cinema attractions; all clear, heart shocking, rises in the throat, the perfect anecdote to ward off sleep.
