Blood Sisters

Blood Sisters

A Poem by Kristina Moulaison
"

Prompted by the wind...

"

Long fingered branches

scratch the windows,

but I do not trim them.

Soon tiny buds will sprout

from their dormant arms,

spill petals like carpet.

I will scoop handfuls into baskets,

crush the juice against my hands

and we will bleed together,

sisters of a common root.
