Bitter Storage

Bitter Storage

A Poem by Kristina Moulaison
"

I dreamed this last night...

"
I keep a giant blue cartoon whale
outside in the garage,
careful to keep it
brimming full with water
and leaving the door open.
He sits mostly quiet
with only an occasional tremor felt
as he throws himself
against the outer walls.
Yesterday he peeked his massive head
out of the water and drug himself
across the dirt and gravel
towards my front porch,
his massive jaw opening and closing
towards me as if he wanted
to swallow me whole.
It was then that I realized
I had forgotten to feed him.

I write. Read me. We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, la.. more..
