These Little Bits

These Little Bits

A Poem by Missy Jane

I'm feeling a bit idle

latent in my inactivity

the empty pages of my mind

obscuring into white noise

I'm feeling a bit rushed

moving in half-time to the world

 lazily complacent

in a rhythm of my own making

I'm feeling a bit confused

should I be content or angry

do I shout or do I whimper

what has happened to my resolve

And as the little bits coalesce into one

the anger burns away the laziness

the complacency replaced with intention

as I return my attention to the world around me.
