Hues of color change in the sky

Moments in time pass us by

Orange to pink to blue to black

The sun goes down, no turning back

Facing forward, decisions to make

It’s time to give, no more to take

 

Spiritual hunger, emotional craving

A path to your future, Hashem is paving

 

It’s time to move, don’t give up hope

One door slams, another opens up

Feeling disheartened only brings you down

Breathe in the light or you’ll slowly drown

Keep pushing forward with a righteous life

Fight through the pain, fight through the strife

 

Spiritual hunger, emotional craving

A path to your future, Hashem is paving

 

Inner battles, the evil inclination

Everybody has them in every nation

Overcome the yetzer hara, make a plan to defeat

Your strength is ammunition so you won’t retreat

Don’t turn your back on your faith or your love

So there will be room for you in the world to come
