Walls

Walls

A Poem by MissRed

i get the feeling that i could step right over
your walls and onto the other side of you
without a leap, a jump, or any climbing at all
do you even have walls at all
i'm a bit envious for i have spent years
building mine up high
even i don't always want to see onto the other side
it wasn't a choice, something i planned
a brick a day i seemed to lay
and now here you are standing before me
peering over into me
and i want you to just tear them down and see
all there really is to me
