The End of the Story

The End of the Story

A Poem by MissRed

pull me out of my hole,
away from my guilty lonliness,
away from all of those things
that can never be and never will be.
do i find comfort in you somehow?
you fill my day, take me away from reality.
i don't want to stop, but i do.
we were inches, maybe feet, as close,
but years away from any moment
that almost happened and really didn't.
but i'm still there, my mind busy
with thoughts of you then and now,
always changing, like chapters in a book,
and the story goes on.
the story needs to end.
