The Cause of Confusion

when it has all fallen apart and you are just...lost

you are the cause of my confusion
the half to my whole that i can't even find
the piece of the puzzle that can't be recreated
the in between, the middle
and i am on the outside edges of myself
looking down and up
and not finding anything but empty space
where did you go and when
a snap, a blink, and you were gone
and i'm left here wondering
where i am and who i am
what happened here
and how can it be put back together again?
