Snow

Snow

A Poem by MissRed

it has been many a day
and whatever was there
has melted away
like last month's snow
as i take that drive
i look to the sides to see
a few glistening spots of white
scattered across the fields like puzzle pieces
they remind me of us
once whole, once new and fresh
now time has taken its toll
and only a few hints of snow remain
i know that as the next season rushes in
and time just keeps on rolling
it will all just fade away
and i want to hold our winter in just a little longer
i don't want to let it go just yet.
