A Poem by MissRed

under the warm covers, i lie buried in the heat
no worries, no pains, barely any thoughts at all
my legs are curled, my eyes closed tight
i smell you before i hear you
a sweet smell that sweeps through me
i smile and i know you can see
your shadow takes me in
your hand seals upon the skin of bare shoulder
i breathe you whole, all i can
i don't have to see
but it is your touch
it takes me places beyond this bed
places i could call home again and again.
