A Peaceful, Easy Happiness

when the right person comes along at the right time

a peaceful, easy happiness settles
on my mind and on my heart
they are both a mess
of pain, fear, longing and lonliness...
you come along to cure it somehow
i don't know why or how
but i won't put up a fight
is there something in you i deserve?
i want so badly for that to be true
a break, a chance, a reason
i could be lifted up and out
