Even Now

Even Now

A Poem by Molly M

Father, I’m here on my knees.

I’m asking you to be near me.

These trials seem to never end.

It’s so hard to trust you have a perfect plan.

God, I’m so desperate, so weak, so unworthy

More than ever, I need you to help me.

But I’ll raise my hands and give you praise.

I’ll still praise you through my pain.

For who am I that you should owe me anything?

You are able to be my everything.

Sustainer, Healer, Faithful Friend,

I’m surrendering yet again.

I’m yours, my life is in your hands,

Not just part of me, but all that I am.

Jesus, do what you will.

Even now, I’ll trust you still.

Wow! I sense such desperation here. These words ring so true and I believe I have heard them before from my own lips. Sweet surrender of trusting the Lord in the end. Isn't that what its all about? Faith? I really like this.

This reminds me of Palm Sunday, as I knelt at the altar and prayed. It's amazing how some things can remind us about the power of faith. Your words are beautiful and inspirational.
