all in the mind

all in the mind

A Poem by hanzabonanza
"

what happens when you attempt to write poetry high.....

"

the squeaky cadence

of your bed next door

echoed through the flat

closely followed by your

heartless laugh

shivering crystals

which set me on edge

and then his hearty laugh after

hitting like a sucker punch

I was once told

and myself practiced

the art of laughing

because you would be

too afraid to scream

when the little deaths hit

and for me

they always came

far too soon

you laughed alright

and somehow I had

the urge to laugh too

after all it was me

who had the last laugh

when he left you

I think you are

too afraid to really f**k

and let yourself go

like you are

frozen inside

I mutter frigid

as you walk by

if it was I

I would have fucked

you so much

that you would have cried

not laughed

realising there was

so much more

than beige and magnolia

deep down

you knew that

and this too:

if you puckered your lips

and blew

more than on instinct or intuition

the rosebud would

pebble under your breath

we both feel it

but cannot yet say

   come

I know you want to

screw me over

one more time

This is all about the little deaths and
the puckering up while blowing little
rosebuds and getting screwed over
one more time.
Or maybe it is about a homosexual trllogy
and I am just reading the symbles wrong.
Who cares---- it is a nice poem and it is
well written .
Thanks,
---- John
