the rose bruise

the rose bruise

A Poem by hanzabonanza

you said it was better not to feel at all

as you tied my wrists to the bed

not to acknowledge the pleasure and pain

with a ragged cry

but instead smother my release

and let just a whimper escape

it would rip us apart

an acceptance of our behaviour

so I shut my eyes

and gave in to your supplications

and threw my head back

it seemed you flipped a switch

sending electricity coursing through

my legs up to my fingertips

feeling alive and dead at once

given life from your body

which cascaded into little deaths

after I left the mortal world behind

I was intent on doing the same to you

merciless, I yearned for your scream

suffocated and blinded

by your gags and masks

while you, deaf and mute to my needs

so setting the tempo

I discarded your fiery passion and force

instead teasing and tormenting

unbearably softly and slowly

until it was you who was begging

to be touched by me instead

when the scream did come

realisation dawned on your flushed face

that the facade had been dropped

with your games by the wayside

revealing our true selves

and at last we began to settle

after, you slept like a child

with all tensions evaporated

your brow smooth

at last settling into my arms
