slow burn

slow burn

A Poem by hanzabonanza

when is our next

coincidence?

choosing to bite lip

over spilling truth

when you find another

excuse

to touch my arm

raising hairs on my skin

and I wrap my arms around

your waist

dancing, avoiding gazes

holding my breath

searched

but you couldn’t be found

the “I want to see you soon”

dissolved into months

some bell sounded far off

your call to me

so as always, helpless

I come running
