precipice

precipice

A Poem by hanzabonanza

throw the ball

back and forth

against the wall

bouncing into your arms

each throw

harder

til fingers are raw

and numb

the dull thud

echoes in your bones

the smack on the wall

the smack on your palms

red hands

white face

eyes black

lips thin

unsure whether

you want to destroy

the ball

the wall

or yourself

There is a haunting way about your style. I like the smacking self beating sound of it.
