A Poem by hanzabonanza

you are the blue sky

on a cold winter’s morning

raising head as I walk

smiling at you there

stretching fingers to reach you

a bird on your breeze

I am lost in you

flying higher

to where the sky deepens

to purple and diamonds

the planets waving past

always with the ones I love

when I imagine in my head

I can seem to hear their voice

but the face unpaintable

the outline only remains

alone desperately

trying and failing

to conjure up yours

wanting to leave you on

long exposure

secretly sure

that each time I see you

you’re more beautiful than before

no broken pebbles

strewn to other sides of the world

ever fit more perfectly together

like us

no song more together in time

sorry if I seem to disbelieve

if my eyes linger too long

still checking you’re here

and we’re together

afraid to awake to find

the classic phrase

greeting me

it was only a dream

but our dream

has been made flesh and blood

and we choose its direction

co-captains on our steady ship

grasping an endless horizon

remembering the graffiti on the wall

‘anarchy- nothing else compares’

except my beautiful revolution was you

beauty and wonder

if a sentiment such as this well expressed were directed my way would i melt to its loving hand or turn to a vapor breathed into that lovely one?

this is one fine poem miss
