the architectA Poem by hanzabonanzarealised the person described in the poem seems almost vampiric..... they are not mean to come across in this way!put the clothes out on my bed black and white spotty skirt flowery top- with a suggestive neck purple tights and sequined shoes stand back and smirk perfect write notes make lists to keep track, plan, scheme just another part of that you should feel honored even put my hair down for the occasion though unused to its company push the curls back away from my face with my thumb and little finger and walking there with a subtle skip in my step I remember when I met you for the first glorious time turning round to smile at me long coat sweeping in time with your dark brown hair in that instance understanding what you were my tummy squirms impulsively at the memory of your red tongue lapping against porcelain teeth eyes glinting lips drawn back when I reach my destination and sit down, third row back cheeks still burning from the cold you walk into the room out of all the people you catch my eye and holding your gaze remove my coat revealing pearls embracing my neck leading your eyes southward against your mind’s best wishes you pause, evaluating, probing with the sense of sight alone I bite my lips, letting you know afterwards, still surrounded by people, in a circle I place my violin under my chin playing an ‘a’ loud and clear and look you straight in the eye the vibration travels down my body across the room to where you stand and into the stripped-back piano behind you singing the note back to us you shudder from the feeling passing round the drinks and food the tension is almost palpable skin brushing as I hand you a glass and I make note of your long ringless fingers later when the crowd has gone they caress the place the violin rested while the pearls lie scattered on the wooden floor replaced instead by porcelain teeth © 2010 hanzabonanzaReviews
