lipstick magnificent

lipstick magnificent

A Poem by hanzabonanza

skin-deep shallow

unsurprisingly unoriginal

yet still I shuddered inside

when you turned and noticed

my ruby red lips

lips ripe for the picking

for kissing and ripping

bloodthirsty fever

unveiled arousal

made of scowls

and smiles

cheeky twists

the most sullen pouts

pulled in a tight grimace

bitten by sharp teeth

crafty

hoping to see you

applying a little extra

what the hell

I know why men like lips

especially flushed

red

parted

pulvinate ones

dirty b*****d

were you thinking

of more than just kisses

embraces that lingered

beyond the lips realm

all those non-platonic movements

I thought of them tonight too

well I’ll keep on flirting

and applying that gloss

like bees to the honeypot

but that’s all it’ll be

you have to know

theres a line- don’t cross it

for you eternally

my lips are firmly closed
