shadow

the sunlight is bleeding into me

through the window pane, onto my arm

hot and uncomfortable

like the way that I love you

a fiery burning right through my skin

I want to hold you close

against me- so close I can see

the shards and specks of your eyes

that break into multicoloured infinity

so close I can smell your musky scent

that lingers beneath your perfume

something abandoned that should be embraced

just hold me

so I can live again

and pretend you feel the same

enough. I shall give you all regardless

and feel sicker than I do now

I love you

and there is nothing more to say

everything else is just borrowed words
