A Poem by hanzabonanza

there’s a rumpus in Fairytale-Land

they told me, scared and shocked

Sleeping Beauty has woken too early

and Cinderella’s clock has stopped

the Prince is still croaking,

a little frog not a man

and Snow White’s choking,

on an apple from a hag

they said it was irreversible

a catastrophe Disney couldn’t foresee

stocks and shares of magic fell

as Alice was stuck in rabbit-hole hell

and the witch is throwing a hissy fit

someone’s broken my mirror- the little s**t

who can be the fairest in the land?

I thought it was Snowy- but she’s off my hands

well, I heard the news and had to smile

as I knew who caused it all the while

a person who I’d slay dragons for

and go on epic quests

whose sparkling laugh I love to hear

and beauty beats all the rest

you- my lovely queen of hearts

who put the princesses to shame

you’re the one they’re jealous of

you’re the one to blame
