your favourite word

your favourite word

A Poem by hanzabonanza

let me place my mouth

in the crook of your elbow

and breathe you in

taut flesh, lightly tanned

tongue touching a freckle

with your bemused look

tango together with our eyes

hold me closer still

each molecule of you

memorized, preserved forever

not a part I would hide from

not a part I would ignore

in love with your new found

openness, unveiling your mind

to me slowly, at the right pace

there is no “rushing need”

we are content to be here

the swimming in a lagoon

freewheeling down a hill

harmonic-note moment

is here at last, breathing life

together in one lung

being close to you

is like becoming you

both of us merging

so close til souls overlap

slipping out of useless bodies

     and far away
