I turn my neck

to gaze at you

drink the light

burn

distant suns

scattering stars

from their spark

flaring

as you blink

reaching for

warm flesh

summer days

treading

the soft seeds

of your freckles

over and over

I replay

the sunset

spinning

your hair

into fiery silk

on my skin

I gather

the threads now

tumbling

sun rays 

through my fingers

warming

my hands

your smile

shifts clouds

the room

brightening

my heart

warmer

than before

I want to stay 

in this bed

watching the light
