nothing changes

nothing changes

A Poem by hanzabonanza

I struck her

the same way

as you did to me

my cold hand

on her warm skin

the vibration hitting

like a snare kick

in my head

it was you instead

who lay victim

underneath me

the tables turned

deliciously

your eyes would widen

in surprise at the pain

I hate to inform you

she went deeper

for much longer

traveling as far south

as one could go

hitting that spot

you could never

quite reach

yet despite all her

talents and charms

I felt a hollow

asking to be pushed

to the limit

by her hands

and her mouth

in attempt at wresting

you from my mind

in the mirror later

my pale face

gapes back at me

the smile fixed

in place well, but shifts

as I notice the marks

on my skin

whatever I say

it’s hard to be smug

when you don’t really care

I still want you

guilty as charged

who’s going to hurt

the most this time?
