FragileA Poem by MazzdalynThis is one of my drafts for an upcoming English poetry slam competition.i force blue bruised knuckles to clench in cold iron fists i can't help but brush your red cheek though really i aim for air oh god it's a sleepless winter again isn't it it's okay i'll break my fingers for you you won't have to lift one up for me 1 2 3 count the seconds before you cradle my neck anticipate the dancing stars and feel the finger print galaxies already forming like a new row of piano keys i fall to my knees and thank God for this new snow only to turn right around and apologize for the mess scream because this sleepless winter is sempiternal
