You're No Better

Calvin’s POV

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The camera was shut off and I watched as Shane’s face faded away. I hung my heard, to weak to protest or yell anymore. My eyes were shut as I tried to escape inside myself and bare this until I could come up with a plan of action. Pain still shot though my entire body as if they were still cutting me, like I was some kind of lab rat they could test on as they pleased. Sickening… But that’s what these people did. That’s why I was so proud of Shane for being a part of something out to stop them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I felt a hand run down the side of my nearly naked and blood soaked body, making me shiver. I looked up and saw Abigail, examining my person.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Take your hands off me,” I said sharply.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She ignored my words. “For a non-human you’re pretty cute.” She abruptly slapped me across the face. “But you’re still lower then whale s**t.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I spat in her eye with a scowl. Why did I do it? I’m not really sure… But she would have none of that. With a swipe of her long fingernails what was left of my shirt torn off, the pieces falling to the floor. Abigail looked at her hand. It was old, like that of a hag’s, her fingers arthritic and nails yellow and curled. I smiled at her. “Me, scum? You’re no different. When are you going to stop pretending, Abigail? You and I are the same.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“No!” She slapped me again, and this time her nails dug into my face and made my cheek bleed. “When Shane gives me what I want I’ll be human again, then you’ll see.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I already see,” I told her. “I see that you are just as disgusting as you claim me to be.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Shut up!” She bit down on my side as hard as she could and I wailed as the pain shot through me. Abigail brought her head back up and spat out my blood. “Repulsive…”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And with that I was left alone in the cold, pitch black dungeon.
