what for?

what for?

A Poem by Amelie Poulain
"

if there is a way, where is it?

"

What is this?

And why is life so new?

Stress and rush goes on,

Never ending.

Once it stops,

It starts all over,

Worse than before.

When will the chaos stop?

I am told it only gets worse,

If that is so,

What am I to look forward to?

How am I to enjoy now,

When all I can think about

Is each minute getting closer

To worse.

How am I to enjoy life,

If all I am told,

All I can do,

Is wait.

What am I waiting for,

And why?

When will it show?

How long do I have to wait,

Before I can live again?

Life can be extremely frustrating, especially if you don't know what your calling is.
The use of questions makes the writing raw, shows earnestness.
A good beginning line to the poem, and a good closure.
