Dearest Charlotte

Dearest Charlotte

A Poem by Amelie Poulain
"

A creature of unrealistic reality

"

Dearest Charlotte,

Presses her nose against the window,

Stairing into,

The dark night.

She doesn't expect more than black.

Rain pours down,

Comforting her,

Like a mother would her child.

Only the sound of the rain,

Could be the secret to tell.

Her thoughts, lingered,

From subect to subject.

A second,

Silence for a second,

Her thoughts stopped.

She listens for a sound,

Any noise that would make the silence,

Go away,

She hears nothing,

A moment of panick,

The soft tick of the clock,

Strikes midnight.

The night continues.

Her thoughts ramble on,

Until the morning sun,

Peeked over the horizon.

Her eyes closed,

Guarded from the sun,

By glass lids.

Say goodbye,

Dearest Charlotte.
