"This is something I wrote years ago but it came back up because of the way I have been feeling lately."

As time flew

I recognized the lies you threw

Knowing from the beginning

You would spread so many.

Your rap was strong

Or was I weakened by the song.

No one else spoke the truth

But in you I found the proof

You showed me things

I only experienced in my dreams

Fantasies came true

Not only for me

But I thought for you

We shared the same goals

My hopes and dreams no longer on hold

You promised me we'd never part,

So I gave you my hand as well as my heart,

Until that day

You shattered my dreams.

I can't believe no one has reviewed this! This was amazing and so sad, we've all be played by the lyrics of a week song. This was beautiful but yet a sad heartfelt piece. Wonderful write.
