Ah! Alas you have come

Months of preparation

And now the work is done.

You have invaded my world

I have loved every part

You opened your eyes

And melted my heart

 

I have waited so long

For you to appear

And now that I have you

I'm overcome with cheer

I wished you would stay

This way for all time

Holding tight to the moment

I'm closing my eyes.

 

A little time has passed

Too big to carry around

Growing up so fast

I love this. I felt the same way when I was expecting my daughter, and then watching her grow up, thinking...slow down! *laugh* She'll be nine in March...my baby. I still bring her up on my lap, even though she's almost as tall as me :-D Thank you so much for writing and sharing this. I think I just lactated a little *laugh*
