Spring

Spring

A Poem by ~Sweet Mel~
"

a change of the season

"

Spring is in the air colorful flowers soon to bloom
birds of all species start to sing their familiar tune
the pure white winter snow has now begun to thaw
this change of seasons leaves me in such awe

life form once hibernating in the wilderness now roam
painted butterflies shed their cocoon they once called home
taking flight they glide with their rainbow colored wings
I marvel at these beautiful gifts this new season brings

sounds of children playing in the green grassy fields
hear their laughter all around you what joy it yields
their soft angelical voices bring a smile to my face
hand and hand they dance with such excitement such grace

off in the distance the heavenly mountains are calling
upon my rosy cheeks cool raindrops are now falling
the crisp spring air brushes gently against my face
this welcomed change of the season I fully embrace

Very good poem!
It takes a lot of talent to write a poem, but it takes even more talent to write a poem that actually rhymes!(and is good). Very good. I really like the way you express the joy of spring.
"hand and hand they dance with such excitement such grace" you might wanna put a comma between excitement and such, or maybe an "and".
Um...whats up with the light blue dotted underlining? kinda cool, is it to enhance the words effect?
