Just another poem of my crazy obsession with wolves!
In the dead of night, i stared out the window. He was there, staring at me, and i at him.
So beautiful, an image of power and strength. My body burns with a desire to meet him, and i run out. I sit in the ashen snow, and wait.
He walks to me, slowly, my body tingling with anticipation. He is but a mere foot away. I reach out, to touch him.
He closes the distance between us, nose pressing to my neck, inhaling the scent of me. My loyal wolf.
I run my fingers through his ivory fur, as soft as silk feathers. He sits before me, ember eyes peering into mine, and mine into his. Where ice meets fire.
He licks my chin, and a goofy smile lands upon my lips. My loyal wolf.
My guardian angel, keeping me safe until morning. from all those who would do me harm.
Question: why is the first stanza in past and the rest in present? That's all that struck me as odd. Everything else is just plain gold! Well freaking done! Much enjoyed!

well, with that tweaked along with a couple of very minor technicalities (that especially, though), .. read morewell, with that tweaked along with a couple of very minor technicalities (that especially, though), this poem would be perfection.
Dragon, this was beautiful and soft and filled with desire's imagination. You have done a wonderful job with this. Wolves are majestic animals but can also be deadly predators of the unsuspecting.
I like this piece in such a way that I haven't the words to describe my admiration.

The wolf is an admirable totem to behold...loyal, wise, protective, able to show you the doors to many lands, should you listen but also a reminder to preserve the old ways, the old wisdom, and so forth, lovely poem and I am glad you have such a totem x
