FallingA Poem by Justsimplyjuliainspiration......Fingers, cold and brittle grip my throat, dangle me over the edge. I scream, I claw. But the cold fingers threaten me every second, to let go. Then, instead of the monster dropping me, I reach under my wings and pull out a blade of ivory. I cut myself free, and begin to fall. My wings of winter white are bound in dirty chains, and I fall with no chance of escaping. Black and white, my life flashed before me, in a series of tragedy. And then, as I feel the ground reaching up to swallow me, the chains dissolve away. I open my wings, and fly. Fly away, free to live more of my life. © 2013 JustsimplyjuliaAuthor's Note
