Tears From Heaven

Again, wrote this a long time ago for a remembrance day contest... enjoy

The angels above are crying,

Their tears are washing the earth.

Thousands of men are dying,

Because of enemies at every turf.

 

Life’s souls are slowly lifting,

Sadness is all around.

Hope and peace are drifting,

And the past is on the ground.

 

A soldier gazes to his home,

A paradise in the sky.

He knows that he is not alone,

That God is right nearby.

 

Now many souls have rested,

And the damage has been done.

The heart of man was tested,

And hope and peace has won.
