Captivate

Captivate

A Poem by disenchanted muse
"

a love poem to a friend

"

Only in total silence

You can hear it

Ever so softly

One… then two

An ache no aspirin can cure

Your jagged edge is pure

I can show you love

Come here and let me touch you

My passion and desire

My only perfection

Your eyes crawl with deception

Ignore this devotion

Accept her imperfections

Can you see me now?

Disregard my final affliction

I see your heart turn cold

As I feel my own grow weak

Pale and withered

Watch me as I bleed out
